"If you can challenge yourself to say "yes" to the process, it is a step in the direction of feeling better to achieve self-fulfillment."
I offer compassionate insight-orientated therapy with the goal to wellness, to find a more integrated way of living. After many years of helping people, I have found the true experience is to "know thyself".
I'm working with clients to achieve self-fulfillment through a range of techniques such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Breath Work, Mindfulness, Mediation (over 25 years of mediating) and psychodynamic therapy.
Through our exploration, you will be able to feel more comfortable in your true nature, in your experiences, and in your ability to deal with life’s many events. Whether it is about a relationship, work, family or just being oneself, our exploration can help you find what I call – a rested mind. The mind, as many psychotherapy modalities explain causes one to overthink, over feel, and even endure uncomfortable bodily sensations that been conditioned from our past events. By quietly taking "refuge" in the ability to slow down, give space and find comfort in one’s inner experience – one can live a more fruitful life.
For the past 15 years, I have been involved with research studying evidence-based interventions for people of color who have been diagnosed with health issues. I have been able to see the effects of different modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, HRV biofeedback, and interoceptive exposure for panic and anxiety, as well as problem-solving in a cross-cultural framework. I am excited that there are tools to expand the work done in session and that treatment now goes beyond talk therapy to include tools like biofeedback, mindfulness, and even apps.
Being Bilingual (Spanish), I integrate the experience of culture in our work together.
You are welcome to take the journey with me and let's explore your most inner passion, your most inner sense of being and find comfort and peace in every step you take.
